At a glance

Platform
Android 9 and later · app.hashkeep
Core
Encrypted local SMS archive, full-text search, CSV export and optional app lock.
Backup & restore
Optional encrypted Google Drive backups and local .hkv files. Create a portable backup with a passphrase before losing the original phone, and keep the passphrase safe. Portable Drive recovery uses the same Google account and that passphrase. Portable local files without Google Drive are available in Internal Testing from version 0.2.0. Scheduled backups and device-bound local files need the original device key. Older files do not become portable. Restore adds records to HashKeep, not Android Messages.
Optional Delivery
Delivery sends readable copies of backed-up messages in batches to SMTP email, Telegram or Discord destinations you configure and test. Android may delay background work. Recipients and their providers can read them. One active rule is free; extra rules and advanced options require Pro. Generic webhooks are not supported.
Free & Pro
Free essentials include 30-day local retention. Optional, one-time Pro extends retention up to five years and adds scheduled Drive backup, PDF export and advanced Delivery options. Google Play shows the current local price.
Encryption
SQLCipher local archive; AES-256-GCM backups. Android Keystore uses available hardware with a software fallback.
Scope
SMS text only. No MMS, RCS, attachments or call-log backup. Hashes are integrity checks, not a guarantee of legal chain of custody.
